Soldiers Sanctuary Island Retreat

Kahoolawe Island, Hawaii – June 9-11th, prospective sponsors and shareholders are invited to a weekend away with the Soldiers Sanctuary program on the coast of a private Hawaiian Island. Soldiers Sanctuary is providing all transportation for short and long-distance guests as well as all food and housing taking place on the island and provided by the program. Official invitations will be sent via mail, where guests can find further RSVP details. On the island, guests and their spouses will be invited to experience the rehabilitation program as the veterans do, participating in activities like surfing lessons, guided hikes, chapels, festive luaus all weekend long. This will give patrons an opportunity to understand the program’s biblical values, sustainable goals, and fun methods that have changed the lives of more than 2,000 military couples.

One veteran, who had been struggling with PTSD amidst his return to the states from Afghanistan, said, “In the week I spent here, I could never have imagined the encouragement, wisdom and strength I received in my relationship with Christ and my wife, and I know it will do the same for many others after me.” Soldier’s Sanctuary is made to come alongside veterans and their spouses during hard seasons. The program provides these couples with biblical and marriage counseling as well as relaxing and fun activities to take a break from the stressors of regular life. Soldier’s Sanctuary was founded in 2010 by Christ-following veteran Jake Fierdorsy and his wife, Sandra Fierdorsy, with the goals of helping rehabilitate struggling veterans and their spouses through Christ-centered teachings. With the help of Hawaiian locals and generous sponsors, Soldiers Sanctuary has seen over 400 salvations and 300 rededications. We are excited to serve our amazing current and potential sponsors whilst showing them the vision and the mission of Soldier’s Sanctuary.
